Short-Term Training
No Cost to Trainees
In partnership with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, this program helps you gain practical, industry-relevant experience and skills to launch your career in marine design. Trainees will learn 3D modeling and visualization techniques, develop drafting skills used to create fabrication and installation drawings, and gain experience resolving design challenges that arise during ship construction. Completion Time & Location
Offered at the 起点传媒 Midcoast Campus in Brunswick. Classes are ongoing. Inquire about upcoming sessions.
3-week program, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
Prerequisites
To qualify for this training you must meet the following prerequisites:
- At least 18 years old
- High School diploma, GED or HiSet
- U.S. Citizenship and/or authorization to work in the U.S. required. Additional hiring restrictions may apply*
- Resident of Maine
- Good computer skills (e.g., proficiency with Microsoft Office tools) required
- Ability to read, interpret and follow technical procedures, standards and work instructions required
- 3D CAD or AUTOCAD proficiency preferred
- Testing may be required
